Best Wedding Photography of 2020 - Harry Michael Photography
Well… that was interesting.
First off, I hope you’ve all had an amazing X-mas! Small or large (damn you sub-Tier 4 people!! :P) I think I speak for everyone when I say, “I’m glad this ones over!!” It’s been an odd year that’s for sure, from not seeing family, to dealing with an avalanche of wedding postponements. On the bright side, it’s been a good one for practising those sourdough skills, and in the end, isn’t that what lockdown was all about?
There were however some upsides career wise, mainly, winning the TWIA South Central Wedding Photographer of the Year (2nd year in a row! Booya!)
I debated with myself a little about doing this round up, but in the end, I’ve still shot some weddings (a whopping 7! 2 before the shit storm hit) and still have some stuff worth writing about. Also, you know that weird period between X-mas and New Year when you really don’t know what the ef’ is going on? I thought this would help get me out my turkey coma and do something productive.
Usually putting these blogs together is a long and painful process that involves hours of looking back through thousands of images, shamelessly asking my friends/family to also look through it a million times as well as lots of staring into the mirror wondering if I’m even a good photographer! But once that’s all done and it’s up on the site, everything normally turns out okay. But this year, it took me 10 minutes; the time to make and consume 2 chai lattes. So here it is, about 50 images from this bizarre year. Big up to all the key workers out there! Now bring on summer 2021!!!
