Alice & Henry | Villa Di Ulignano, Tuscany, Italy
“WOW. Harry.
We have no words - we sat down last night with a bottle of champagne and went through the slideshow and each of the photos. It was a totally magical evening and felt like we were right back in the day. You have captured it SO well these photos are truly stunning and more than I think we could have hoped for. There were so many tears - and lots of laughter. This email is totally inept at conveying how much we love them! Thank you so so so much - we are overjoyed. "
Oh, how June 3rd quite literally felt like ages ago now! This year keeps going faster and faster. I hope anyone reading this is having a good’n! With my own wedding in just a little under 2 months it’s been hard to find the time to update this blog with all the amazing days I’ve experienced this year, but don’t worry they’ll all be coming sooner or later!… probably later though. These table plans don’t do themselves!
Right now let’s get to the main event, Mad-dog or Henry as he’s less known, and Alice, and their destination wedding at one of my favourites, Villa Di Ulignano, just outside Volterra. Their weekend was jam-packed from the off. With a welcome party fueled by Aperol, amazing speeches, and a gorgeous sunset over the Tuscan hills, I knew the wedding was going to be a special one.
The setting was perfect, the suit was sharp, the dress was bang on trend, with stunning florals, and amazing food/wine they had it all. Yes, of course, all these things make weddings memorable and enjoyable, but the factor that matters most in determining the mood and atmosphere for the whole day is obviously the couple, and these two could not have been better hosts for all their guests the entire weekend. From arriving in the morning to see Alice, and after I squeezed in a little round of monopoly deal with her and the girls (which I lost epically! Should have never traded Mayfair!) I noticed the smile she wore all day infected everyone, and Henry, a man not afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve which is so refreshing to see, and who by the way can also belt out a rendition of Empty Chairs and Empty Tables that stunned their professional Tenor!
